Sweet-Me Christmas, Day 12 - Yummy Yummy!

6:00 AM

One of my favorite things about this time of year is the yummy food!

Food is such a comfort to most people, and it is a way to show love!  The traditional neighbor gift was a fruit cake.  Boy, have we come a long way from that!

I LOVE these ideas I found on Pinterest for yummy neighbor treats!  They are a little different than cookies or bread.

Set of Homemade Seasonings Ranch http://everythingscomingupdaffodils.blogspot.com.au/2010/09/homemade-ranch-seasoning-mix.html Spice rub http://asouthernfairytale.com/2012/11/15/spicy-dry-rub/ Taco mix http://www.yummly.com/blog/2012/07/make-your-own-taco-seasoning-mix/

I picked up some waffle cone bowls, sugar cones and assorted candies and repackaged everything in clear cello bags with colourful labels and bakers twine. I then made some homemade chocolate sauce, jarred it, and packaged everything together in a little gift box. It was so simple to put together and the recipients were thrilled, which was the whole point.
